Chicken Tortilla Soup

Ingredients:

2 cups chicken broth
2 cups water
1 cup onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 cup celery, sliced
1 cup carrots, sliced
1 can whole kernel corn, drained
1 cup chicken, cooked and cut into small pieces
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/3 cup picante sauce
1 can diced tomatoes and chilies
Monterey Jack cheese
Strips of fried corn tortillas
avocado slices

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in large kettle and simmer slowly until vegetables are tender.

To serve place shredded Monterey Jack in the bottom of the bowl and pour soup on top. Garnish with fried tortilla strips and sliced avocado.
