FRENCH STRAWBERRY GLAZE PIE

Ingredients:

1 pie shell, cooled
1 quart strawberries
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
3 Tbs. cornstarch
red food coloring
3 oz, pkg. cream cheese
Whipped cream

Directions:

Simmer 2/3 cup water and 1 cup berries for 3 minutes. Mix sugar, cornstarch and 1/3 cup water. Add to berries and boil 1 minute stirring constantly. Cool. Spread cream cheese over crust. Place 2 1/2 cups berries in pie shell. Cover with cooled mixture. Garnish with 1/2 cup berries. Chill 2 hours. Serve with whipped cream.
