Pepper SteakLots of Free Recipes |
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lb., steak
2-3 tsp, sugar
1 medium onion, chopped
hot cooked rice
1 Tbs., cornstarch
1 cup water
2 Tbs., soy sauce
2 medium green peppers, cut
salt and pepper
cut into 3/4" strips
1/4 cup salad oil
powdered garlic
Directions:
Trim meat and cut into strips 2 x 1/4 inch. Heat oil in large skillet. Cook meat in oil, turning frequently, until brown. Stir in water, onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat. Cover and simmer 12 to 15 minutes. Add green pepper during last 5 minutes of simmering. Blend cornstarch, sugar, and soy sauce together. Stir into meat mixture. Cook, stirring constantly until, mixture thickens. Serve over rice.
