Raspberry Trifle

Ingredients:

1 large (6 oz.)package raspberry gelatin
1 (16 oz.) package frozen raspberries
1 angel food cake
2 (3 oz.) packages vanilla pudding, cooked or instant
4 cups milk
1 small container of Cool Whip
1/2 pint fresh raspberries

Directions:

Add gelatin to 2 cups boiling water and stir 2 minutes until dissolved. Stir in frozen raspberries and chill until set.

Break the angel food cake into bite-size pieces and place half in the bottom of a trifle bowl. Layer with half the raspberry gelatin mixture, then vanilla pudding and Cool Whip. Repeat the layers and sprinkle with fresh raspberries. Chill until set.

Use strawberry gelatin and frozen strawberries when it's strawberry season to make a nice variation on this dessert.
