English Trifle

Ingredients:

1 angel food cake
1 package strawberry Jell-o
1 cup boiling water
1 package instant vanilla pudding
1 cup crushed pineapple
1 package frozen strawberries, partially thawed
1 1/2 cups milk
1 small container Cool Whip
nuts or sprinkles (optional)

Directions:

Crumble angel food cake in the bottom of a clear glass bowl. Break up partially thawed frozen strawberries on top of cake. Dissolve Jell-o in boiling water, stirring for 2 minutes. Pour over frozen strawberries and let set.

Mix vanilla pudding according to package directions MINUS 1/2 cup milk. Add 1 cup crushed pineapple to pudding, spread over Jell-o mixture, and let set.

Spread softened Cool Whip over top of set pudding mixture. Sprinkle with nuts or fancy sprinkles and serve.

This makes a very pretty affect for the table. You can use any fruit and jell-o mixture to suit your taste.
